The flurry of executive orders and pronouncements, coupled with his tendency to pick fights with allies, raises the question - has Trump has gone mad or is there exists a coherent world view underpinning his seeming incomprehensible actions?
The perplexity of Trump’s actions may stem from our failure to perceive the world through his lens, a reflection of our struggle to recognize reality for what it truly is, which is to say, as complete shit show.
There is no cohesive world order. Islamic radicalism and its leftist, progressive allies have shredded international law and the integrity of international organizations, weaponizing them into instruments of antisemitism and by extension, enemies of democracy, freedom, and the United States. The UN, the ICC, the ICJ, the Red Cross, the UNRWA, Doctors Without Borders, and Amnesty International exemplify this trend. I could go on but suffice it to say that every international institution, whether governmental or non-governmental, has been utterly and irreparably compromised. International law itself has been rendered meaningless, exposing it as a mere tool for Jew haters and the enemies of Western civilization.
Most of western society has also reached a critical juncture- the unrestricted immigration of national groups that not only reject the values and culture of their host countries but are also intent on transforming these nations into their own illiberal, hateful, anti-Semitic, anti-Western homelands has resulted in the downward spiral of these countries. The United Kingdom, Ireland, France, the Netherlands -home of the Jew hunt- Spain are among those facing this dire situation. These societies are on the path toward collapse, succumbing to the influence of Islamic jihadists who were invited to infiltrate their communities. Let’s add to this list Canada – once a liberal society that has become a breeding ground for anti-Semitism.
If this is Trump’s assessment- and I think it is- and worse, if this assessment is indeed accurate, a truth we all recognize yet prefer to avoid confronting, then what is America to do?
It appears that President Trump has concluded that, eventually, as these unstoppable trends continue, we will need a new world order - and we’d better start planning for it now. In this grim future, where democracy faces demise in elections reminiscent of Germany in 1933, who will stand as our allies? It won’t be Canada, the UK, France or other Western European democracies, who have already sacrificed the principles of free speech to suppress any opposition to the illiberal forces in their societies. Consequently, it may be smart for the United States to sever ties now and focus on fortifying itself. America’s allies are likely to be those who are committed to safeguarding their societies against jihadism starting with Israel and potentially including various South American nations. As for Russia, if the criterion is the willingness to confront jihadist threats, then perhaps Trump perceives a dictator who subdued Chechnya as a potential partner. While this notion is unsettling, if the world is indeed descending into a prolonged dark age, we may find ourselves compelled to forge alliances with those we may otherwise oppose, yet who possess a survival instinct
I don’t like this vision and the emerging world we face. But it may be unavoidable. Perhaps Trump is building Fortress America because he perceives the situation more clearly than we do.
Except that Russia's own muslim population is 14 million, 10% of its population. Islam is also the second largest religion in Russia. And Putin also said this:
"Islam and Orthodox Christianity, just like other world religions, are based on fundamental humanistic values that are of enduring importance — on mercy and love for one’s near, justice and respect for human beings," he said in 2019.
