The Book of Kings from the bible, tells the story of two women who lived together and gave birth to baby boys days apart. One of the babies was accidentally smothered to death and both women claimed the living baby as her own. They brought the dispute to King Solomon who ruled that the baby should be cut in half and each woman would have one half. One mother did not contest the ruling, declaring that if she could not have the baby then neither of them could, but the other begged Solomon, "Give the baby to her, just don't kill him!"
On Wednesday, the eve of Israel’s Independence Day, devastating fires raged in the forests of South Jerusalem and surrounding towns. leading to a national emergency and cancellation of the planned Independence Day festivities. This did not occur in the disputed territory of the so-called West Bank, but within Israel’s internationally recognized borders. This was literally the Land of Israel that was attacked. “Innocent” Palestinian civilians, were arrested on suspicion of arson in connection with the blaze. Investigations revealed that calls for arson had been circulating on Palestinian social media in advance of Independence Day celebrations. This is not an isolated incident; it reflects a pattern of ecological sabotage against Israel by Palestinians, who would rather destroy the land than allow Jews to have it. So much for their deep connection to the Land they claim as their own.
In 2005 when the Israeli government decided to leave Gaza to the Arabs, the Jewish residents were forced to evacuate their homes in the Gush Katif communities.[1] These individuals had transformed the area into what many described as 'a paradise on Earth.' Over the years, they turned sand dunes into flourishing gardens. Gush Katif once provided 10 percent of Israel’s agricultural output and 65 percent of its greenhouse vegetables, with annual exports reaching $25 million. When they were forced to leave the homes they loved, the Jews handed over the now fertile land to the Arabs. But the Arabs of Gaza looted and burned everything. Agricultural facilities, which had been left to the Arabs for development (through a deal made with some foreign partners), were reduced to rubble by the hoards of looters who plundered the spoils.
Palestinians have been uniquely vicious in their 100 years’ war against the Jews. It was not only a massacre that occurred on 10/7, it was a coordinated series of highly personal assaults involving torture, rape, mutilation, immolation, arson and kidnapping. Those who viewed the footage of the massacres on October 7, 2023 saw the high level of satisfaction that the Gazans experienced, as evidenced by their on-screen jubilance. A fellow Substacker, David Josef Volodzno, a writer and journalists for periodicals like Forbes, The Wall Street Journal and others, notes in his essay ”The ugly truth about Palestinian violence” “how they celebrate each new murder and attack including October 7, crowding to see Jewish corpses, dancing around rape victims, old women singing the zaghroujta when Jewish children are murdered, men handing out sweets to Palestinian kids when terrorist rockets land on Jewish daycares and families bringing their own children to watch death parades.” The Palestinians may be victims, but innocent, they are not and never have been. It is the highly ingrained and intractable Jew Hatred embedded in Palestinian society that has brought hell to rain down on both Israelis and the Palestinians.
As if murder, rape and kidnapping were not enough, they also use psychological torture and arson as tools of terror; endangering lives and devastating the environment. Nothing is off limits.
I’ll wait for the international condemnation of these acts of environmental terrorism and threats to the ecosystem……

I thought of Solomon yesterday too. The Palestinians don't want the land, they just want the "infidel" Jews not to have it. If it becomes a desolate wasteland as a result, they don't care. Their food comes from UNWRA, they don't need to grow anything.
"palestinian" society is barbaric. No other nation would tolerate this on their borders, but Israel is expected to do just that and in addition grant them statehood to reward their genocidal savagery.
